I found the second book I bought a bit better at drilling the essentials: Touch Typing In Ten Hours by Ann Dobson, which again I picked up for almost nothing. I’m now touch typing while looking at the emerging type on the page, or (faster) watching my fingers. I use all four fingers on each hand. I still find the carriage shift of the Olympic SM3 difficult to do with the pinkies, but the segment shift of the Imperial Good Companion 5 is very easy.
Thanks for the entertainment. Well played.
Also, thanks for posting your practice sheet. I will copy and use it in my practice.

Cheers, Mike. You should get the book. Mine cost one pence…plus £2.75 postage!
