Another autobiographical impression…
I was born in ’59, so this must have been around 63/64. I would not be surprised to learn that the treatment for asthma at that time was hallucinogenic, or at least fever-inducing. Kudos to my exasperated parents for not dismissing my fantasy, but entering into it, taking control, and guiding me out of it.
EDIT: The original blog post had a prose version of the text, now replaced with a re-formatted, more poetic version, which I think reads better.
Wow. Intense! I still remember some interminable hallucinations I had when I was a kid and running a fever, involving Asterix characters, an impossibly heavy rock, and a tiny thread.
